Angry Birds Space has landed for iOS, PC, Mac, and Android via the Android Market and Amazon Appstore.
Between its flagship title and expansions as Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio, the series has offset more than 700 million downloads on different platforms.
However, it certainly seems as if the developer Rovio is content with the status quo, the churning of different flavors of what was essentially the same bird catapult, pork-smashing adventure.
Fortunately for fans of the franchise, their new version of Angry Birds space is more ambitious. The mixture of different power-ups and the introduction of zero gravity has created a game refreshing while remaining highly addictive casual.
The Concept is similar: the furious Angry birds wants their eggs back from the group of greedy pigs, and must bash through shelters of stone, wood and ice to get them out.
To do this, players launch these birds with a catapult.
Most players of Angry birds have come to know the return, including the traditional red bird, a small, blue and red bird who has three and a black bird that doubles as a bomb. Join the group in space Angry Birds is a purple bird that can redirect its flight path to target a specific area and a blue bird that freezes nearby obstructions.
Angry Birds space but goes much further than adding more characters to throw on. Players must now contend with gravity, which adds another layer to the development of your next move.
Feature levels orbs of different sizes that represent areas where gravity is present. If a bird happens to venture outside this space, it floats safely away. Opening the challenges are simple, but eventually expanded to include puzzles where players have – for example – find a way to get pigs floating in space in hull to a tiny planet where they will die for.
